What Should I Expect At The Agent Rainmaker Bootcamp?

On the 4th November 2021, 25 Letting Agents walked into a conference room in the Mount Hotel Tettenhall, ready for 4 days of learning and sharing, but if they were honest, they did not know what to expect, or what they would be walking out of that room with just 4 days later…

They were attending Agent Rainmakers 1st physical LIVE Bootcamp in over 2 years…

As the room shared their stories of how they were struggling to get new landlord clients on, many shared how they were just too busy, not earning enough from their businesses, and desperately seeking a new way to win more landlords. You could see for many of the agents in the room, this 4-day Bootcamp was a last resort, as they had tried everything, and needed something “different” to give them hope again.

On day one, they looked deeply into what they currently do, and WHY…

They discovered that much of what they do, they should not be doing because they are not insured and are often left liable. They’re neither indemnified nor trained to complete these daily tasks safely, and more importantly, were not even getting paid for these ‘run around’ tasks. They just had got into the “habit” of doing whatever the client asked… for FREE.

Many admitted to removing rubbish from properties, driving around to collect and deliver keys, cleaning for the landlords (personally), and even sitting in cold empty properties for up to 8 hours waiting for British Gas to arrive to carry out a gas certificate because the landlord wanted to save £20.

Calculations were done as to how long time was spent on these “FREE” tasks and for some, up to 50% of their time was spent doing FREE favours for landlords, completely uncontracted, not reimbursed, and for free.

Meanwhile, they were struggling financially, not earning enough money from their businesses (some even putting money directly into their business) and not even getting enough personal time off, never mind an annual holiday with their families.

Many were left asking “how did we get here?”, but there was a certain comfort in knowing that they were all in the same boat, and no longer alone…

Over The 4 Days, Their Letting Agency Businesses Were Re-Constructed…

WHAT should we do for our clients, what services should we include (and what shouldn’t we do too), also, how much should we charge? They learned calculations to understand how much every action was costing them and how much they needed to charge it out to make a profit too.

They explored dozens of upsells, down-sells, and side sells, including additional services that they could introduce…

Plus, they explored some super-fast expansion and growth strategies, as well as business operation management that would enable them to handle faster growth and see a bigger picture.

During the 4 days, International leading “Mindset and Motivation” Coach Tosin Ogunnusi, who had flown in all the way from Prague, helped delegates break through their fears by coaching them through breaking boards with their hands, breaking arrows, and bending concrete bars – the energy was immense! Everyone got involved, felt the fear, but did it anyway, an attitude that they would take away with them and implement into their businesses.

        On the third day, their growth plans were finalised, their plans to TREBLE their TURNOVER were complete, and one by one they came and wrote their numbers on the board, allowing them to visualise their own goals, and see the possibilities that lay ahead of them.

        You could see the mindset’s change from despair to excitement. They now had a plan, they knew what to do and HOW to do it, some even said they were for the first time in years EXCITED about their business again (a few tears of relief too).

        On the final day of Bootcamp, together they discovered the 8 stages a letting agency goes through to grow and found out which stage their business was currently in the evolution, but more importantly where they wanted to get to, and also some great techniques for bringing the TEAM together; identifying their A-Players, and managing their most valuable commodity – their TIME.

        This event is transformational and transform the mindsets of our 25 delegates it did.
